This oil is produced from the flowering heads of St John's Wort at the optimum time of its growth cycle. This coincides with the summer solstice, the catholic feast day of Saint John, from which the plant takes its name. Once picked, the yellow flowers are steeped in the oil for 29 days - a lunar cycle. The result is a dark red oil with energising properties ideal for massage. Excellent for treating reddened skin and for sunburn. St John's Wort oil is labelled Vegan OK as it contains solely plant-derived ingredients.
Indications
Softening, restorative, good for scaly, irritated or sensitive skin, for psoriasis, ichthyosis or skin with scars from wounds or burns. It has a soothing and calming action and is ideal for use on burns and insect bites.
